IRHA Hall of Fame

Purpose: The purpose of the IRHA Hall of Fame is to provide a means of honoring individuals who have made significant, selfless and lasting contributions to the Association. Emphasis should be placed on the lasting impact the individuals contributions have had on the Association rather than their personal success as a competitor. Additionally, the IRHA Hall of Fame serves as means of honoring horses that have provided exceptional enjoyment and excitement for competitors and spectators through their own accomplishments or those of their offspring. 1. It is recommended that only one person and/or horse be nominated per year unless joint contributions are inseparable.
2. Any IRHA member in good standing may nominate a person/horse by filing a nomination form with the Association Board of Directors.
3. Nominations are due by October 1st of each year, nomination forms may be given to any Board Member or mailed to the Association Secretary.
4. The Board of Directors will serve as the Hall of Fame Committee and will be tasked with reviewing the nominations and selecting the yearly nominee(s) at the regular board meeting in October of each year.
5. The Hall of Fame Committee will review and discuss each nomination form, selection will be determined by a majority vote of the committee members present.
6. The new inductee(s) will be announced at the Year End Awards Banquet.
7. New Inductees will receive a recognition award and certificate along with being recognized on the IRHA's web site "Hall of Fame" page.
8. Specific criteria for people should include but not be limited to: Years involved in the IRHA, Positions Held, Mentors (by and to), Show Record, and Special Influence.
9. Specific criteria for horse should include: Show Record, Show Record of Get, Special Influences, Special Honors Awarded, Current or Last Owner.
